Horton Hatches the Egg

Main Characters: Mayzie the bird and Horton the elephant

The story is about: A bird who wanted to go on vacation and no longer wanted to sit on her egg. So Horton sat on the egg for it to hatch for many weeks. He was taken by hunters and sold to the circus. Where many people made fun of him at the end of the journey he ended up where Mayzie was just before the egg hatched. Mazyie wanted her egg back right before the egg hatched and Horton did not give up. To everyone's surprise it was a elephant with wings bird. " I meant what I said, and I said what I meant... An elephant is faithful-one hundred precent!"

Things I liked or disliked about the book: I thought it was funny

Favorite part about the book: When Horton hatched the egg and it was a baby elephant with wings.

This story tought me about: A promise is a promise and to be patient.

This story is about: Little Willy's grandfather is sick and its up to Willy to save the farm from tax collectors. Their only hope is the prize money from the national dogsled race. But a lot other people want to win the race too. Willy enters the race to get the prize money. Willy wins the race and saves his grandfather's potato farm.

This story takes place: Wyoming

Things I liked or disliked about the main character: That he was very smart and he never gave up.

This is how the story ended: Stone Fox shot Searchlight

My favorite part of the book was: when the air said get over here

This story taught me: about dogsled racing
